Supervision for EMDR Therapists

Swift Counselling is now able to offer flexible arrangements for supervision for EMDR therapists including: group, individual face-to-face, individual telephone, Skype, Zoom or a mixture.

Why supervision?

Perhaps most importantly of all, any person practicing EMDR requires supervision for good practice.

Second, accreditation as an EMDR Practitioner requires a minimum of 20 hours of supervision from an EMDR Consultant and at least 1 year experience post completion of Level 2 or Part III training.

Accreditation as an EMDR Consultant requires a minimum of 20 hours of supervision and at least two years’ experience post completion of Level 2 or Part III training.

Group

The advantage of Group Supervision is that people can learn from one another and there is the opportunity to contribute and/or listen to others in the group.

For groups that work in the same workplace, there is the advantage of discussing EMDR cases and issues related to your particular workplace.

Groups take place monthly online over Zoom. This enables people who live at a greater distance to join in the group.

The group is open to therapists working towards Accreditation as a Practitioner or Consultant and to those who have done Level 1 training and simply want supervision for their work.

Some people combine face-to-face and Zoom or Skype supervision.

Individual face to face

This is available in Wroughton, Swindon.

Our Charges

Individual face-to face or telephone supervision costs £65 per hour. The supervisee is responsible for making the telephone, Skype or Zoom call, if that is the preferred option;

The cost of a 2 hour group supervision session is £60.00 per person, with a retainer fee of £20 if the person is unable to attend.

Testimonials

Following a car accident, I suffered terribly with a fight or flight response when driving. I did not know what this anxiety was and tried for months to recover on my own. After a particularly severe anxiety attack, I realised that I needed to get help. EMDR therapy was incredibly effective. My anxiety was linked specifically to the accident and in one session the anxiety was dispersed.  I literally walked out of Swift Counselling, got in my car and drove with no anxiety from that moment on.  I am thrilled with the results, thank you.
